Last already?

Last assignment completed. Again it has to be related to my threewordgame. I’m glad I doesn’t have to be inside the video assignment. But LOL I’m inside a few other classmates’ video. It is quite a difficult assignment, a troublesome one. Within 2 days I’ve to know how to use the functions of PR but I couldn’t, I cannot catch up. Didn’t get to make much nice effects on the fonts and changing of scenes, but my plot as planned came out quite well.

Shall blog a little on our field trip to 8Q on Day 12. As expected, musuem, I didn’t understand much. Can’t really relate to DMFUND, maybe for the pervertic movie part yes. Using digital media, but I don’t get the ‘moral’ of the movie. It’s disgusting just to come to think of the scenes. & the room where there’re lots of headphones, HDB city planner place, I see digital media. I see how digital media can impact us or rather digital media wants to make an impact on us. Through digital media, information is received and room for improvement can be made. That’s what I thought of digital media. Exploring digital media.

DMFUND class is quite fun. Very happy to meet PS and AI and got to use quite a lot of them. It really helped a lot, now and later. Thanks Yokee. Hope I won’t stone for tomorrow’s presentation. && BTW, it’s really million times better to use blog to update progress than using a journal, hand-written or self-made. Love blog assignment.

Image Editing

Till now, you should have noticed I’m a very indecisive person. Decide not to give myself too many choices. I’ve came up with 2 image as spokesperson for threewords. My problem now is not coming with designs, but choosing and confirm my final logo/image-editing. Then I’m left with video which I had something in mind already.

I think I don’t really need to edit myself somewhere in a cafe or what. I think as a spokesperson (lol), just show my face and people should know, oh it’s the spokesperson for threewordgame! & Simple IS nice.

I’m having fun with illustrator, designing logoS for 3words. As I design more, I can’t finalize my logo and then the thought of not touching on image editing and video assignment makes everything worse. I’m getting irritated. Here’s another few logos and I’m NOT going to do anymore. I think (T_T)”

Brainstorming what to do for image editing. Wanted to do something like 3 of me, one on top, two below. To show 3. Wanted to do 3 Joannes’ potrait, tying to speak but the 2 on the left and right stopping the middle me. 3words is a game and so I wanna make it more sketchy/cartoonish. Maybe just one of my face as a ‘mascot’ will do. The more I think, the assignment will never be completed. I’m just too annoying and can’t stop brainstorming and then got angry of myself in the end. Very stupid.

As I procastinate, I console myself by telling myself that the video is only 30seconds. “No problem” and it can be done within ‘few’ hours. But whatever LUH, please enlighten me and

LEMME FINALIZE MY LOGO & IDEA FOR IMAGE EDITING.

Logo Designs

Practice! I don’t want to confirm my final logo so quickly and then regret. Improving as I keep practicing and draw myself away from the stupid mindset that my logo has to be in a square and I must draw a number 3 in it. It’s a fun progress but can be frustrating. But I’m taking this chance to test my patience. I’m sure the logo designs are much much better than the previous.

Please tell me you see improvements

Of course I won’t insert “Like so stupid can” if it’s final. Look carefully, the circles are the eyes, it’s like a bird and the blue one like a ram with angry eyes.

Simple is nice, but the second one is also nice!

Just another update of my Photoshopping skills. I’m just jealous of Roycelyn’s picture so I made one too of me and Yoochun

Google Map DIED

YAY! GOOGLE MAP COMPLETED! GOODBYE.

Spent about an hour to complete this google map from scratch. Researched the different board game cafes in Singapore for example Mind Cafe, DeCoder’s Cafe etc etc. Got hold of the map and exact locations and bus services and stuffs like that to make it easier for people to visit from the nearest MRT. I’ve also included friends and people who played my THREE WORDS GAME from Facebook, only some. I only inserted their names in it and the places they stay to show that this game can be played online through FACEBOOK and I choose friends that stayed in different places like Yishun, Tampines, Woodlands and many others to show this game is spreaded over Singapore. One can also visit the board game cafes as noted in my Google Map.

Blah blah, just visit my google and read everything including the description and you’ll know more about it.

Note that I’m going to edit my audio assignment to exactly 1 minute so that I do not overshot the time requirement for the assignment. Which means it is stil not the final.

Go away logo

I’m pissed with Logo. I know I’m very fussy. I just can’t get something I like, I can’t accept this kind of design to be final. I’ve nothing in mind but I want to clear this assignment. Google map I swear I must conquer you by tomorrow and then I’d never need to mention google map not done again.

But, the first design is quite okay to me. I got a better looking sketch of the second logo, it’s supposed to be a little 3D and white highlights as reflections or something like that, but I don’t know how. 3rd is rubbish sorry. Maybe I should stop doing cause I’m in a real bad mood when I’m tired.

& FYI my FB group is THREE WORDS. I’m so feddup with my group. Why didn’t I do something about save the PANDAS, so I can design a cute panda logo.

WHY???

3Words: God damn it

I’m very excited over the logo assignment and now I’m so upset. Have been playing around with shapes and other tools in Ai to make some random logos. For hours and I can’t get something I like. It’s getting worst and worst and worst. I don’t know what I want. That’s worst of the worst. Skills aside, I can get help on how to use Ai easily but but but, the problem here is that I’ve got nothing in mind to do.

The more I do, the more I got upset. I came out with quite a few logos. Some are quite okay to me, I like simple things. And simple is nice. But I’m afraid I’d be penalised for the effort. Seeing no effort in a simple designed logo, but actually behind that “simple logo” there is effort! I don’t feel like risking, or should I?

Look, the first one might look effortless, the font so boring, simple. But look at the one with  more effort, it’s complicated, too bright, and it’s not for looking please.

This is so not my final logo. Just a baby step to my final, wonderful logo

I decided to start on audio podcast cause it’s not much of a technique problem. I find it difficult to navigate and play around in SB only at home. It’s so sudden, I didn’t own a wide screen monitor so everything in SB is cramped but as I progress, I’m getting used to it. I’m sick of my voice, having to loop and loop again to try out different types of sound effects and to check the timing and other stuffs. At least work is done, it’s not very professional but I gave my best shot.

My audio podcast is something like a radio station which can also be announced in public areas like shopping for example. Used several sound effects and changed the pitch so it doesn’t sound like me. But OMG, the “singing” part I can’t change the pitch, because if I change, lower or higher, the key is wrong and when played together with the acoustic music, it’s horrible! So OMG I never change. The “lyrics” is dumb I know I know I know! Yokee PLEASE don’t laugh. (D:)It’s promoting the awesome 3 Words in my FB. At the very very least I cleared one assignment! Moving on to Logo. Image editing is still killing me.

Progress of my work. Oh, I used fading in and out too, some mixing and repairing of audio because some parts of my vocal recording was not very clear.

Adobe SoundBooth, not that bad after all. What’s next? VideoBooth? I sincerely pray that I would not need to be in the video. It’ll freak me outtttttttttt.

Mountain high

Will update about 8Q musuem another time. In the meantime, I’m more concerned on assignments than anything else. I’m like finally done with all the exercises on PS and Ai and some on SB but I totally left out my assignments. It’s the last week of Block 3 next week and video podcast have yet to come. I’ve google map, image editing, logo and audio podcast to do. Thank god google map is kind of saved by Yokee’s suggestions, I’ll need to research on places like Mind Cafes and Hemisphere’s locations in Sg before starting. & I wonder how.

Image editing is so difficult after consultation. WHY DID I EVEN CREATE “THREE WORDS GAME” in FB. I’m so sad now, when I’ve got no inspirations I get moody and it doesn’t help a mm. And logo, I’ve got some ideas but I’m not good in Ai AND PS. ANGRYYYYYYYYYY!

Audio podcast OH MY GOD. I’m so going to change the pitch so that it totally don’t sound like me. The difficult part is thinking of what to say and I’m damn shy. :O
